About us

Takorie means seamless act of knitting where all the imperfections form into a consistent piece of art. Takorie believes that the imperfections in the society can also be tied together to bring peace and tolerance among the communities. An inherent skill of knitting with the rural women of Pakistan is either untapped or exploited because of the conflicting cultural and social behaviors. Takorei aims to tap these skills by creating economic opportunities for these women so that they can weave the social fabric for peaceful setting. Our technology based innovative approach is targeting the low-end niche supply markets for the high-end customers without involving intermediaries. Takorie showcases distinctive artisan crafts and brings them to your doorsteps.

Evolution of Takorie

2016- The Beginning:  Takorie was established in 2016 as a cultural clothing brand,
selling eastern traditional wear. This helped to build our community of suppliers and
clients

2018 – The Transition: We evolved into a socially responsive enterprise and included vulnerable women of the society into our business community.  This brought us in the mainstream

2020 – The Growth:  Takorie goes digital, where the women get the opportunity to sell
their products directly to the clients without intermediaries.  This provided us the
credibility.
